RUBiS Turks & Caicos Ltd. Donates $3k in Technology to Clement Howell High School
Clement Howell High School, the largest of two public high schools in Providenciales was the recipient of two brand new specialty gaming laptops and two all in-one printers from Rubis Turks & Caicos Limited.
The recent donation from Rubis will aid the school’s AutoCAD program by facilitating prints for students’ SBAs and CSEC exams, in color and faster. The teachers will make use of the specialty laptops that are equipped with large capacity hard drives and high RAM and GPU memory to store students work, present lessons, and run diagnostic repairs on lab computers.
“First and foremost, Rubis is mandated to give back to the community in which it operates” says Micah Knowles, Rubis Sales & Marketing Manager. “Secondly, we look to build capacity through long term educational partnerships. After we were made aware of the needs of the school, it only made sense for Rubis to commit to the growth of the AutoCAD Program which we deem crucial to success of the partnership. High school is a critical stage and for some may be the last formal education.”
Clement Howell School High was beyond grateful to receive the laptops and printers for each of the AutoCAD rooms. “A well needed contribution”, Damian Williams, Head of the AutoCAD Department, Clement Howell High asserts. “Over the years we have tried to make one step forward as it relates to technology” Williams cont.
Presenting the donations from Rubis TCI were Zaneta Burton, Sales Executive, Shavonda Lewis, Finance Accountant and Conrado Ewing, Maintenance Tech.
Representing Clement Howell High School were Ms. Shanta Seymour, Principal, Mrs Stephaine Johnson, Vice Principal, AutoCad Teachers: Damian Williams (HOD), Lincoln Blackstock and Marc Nicolas, along with some of the students: Shiloh Hall, Damari Fulford, Clayrell Arthur and Edwin Cheristin.
